A love of art runs throughout SPSP and our corridors are alive with the children’s work.
It shows their creativity, their vitality and their resilience.
From Year 1, children have specialist art lessons each week, focusing on a range of different techniques and media. Our Art programme has a cross-curricular approach, which links with other topics being studied by the children elsewhere on the curriculum.
ISI (2020) stated that ‘Displays of artwork show pupils’ excellent development in art, featuring high levels of skill and imagination, in a wide variety of media'.
Our displays of artwork are poignant, showing the pride the children have in their work and the ‘Seven Ages of Art’ they encounter as they journey throughout our school.
