Unless I had seen this production of Oliver! by Years 5 & 6 I would never have believed such young actors could bring off such a spectacular success of what is a challenging stage musical. From the moment the curtains opened and we heard the famous song, 'Food, Glorious Food', the audience knew they were in for a dramatic treat. The teamwork of all the dance routines was breathtaking and a number of individual performances will live with me for many years to come. Without doubt, the greatest accolade should go to Thomas Chapman, who played Fagin with such aplomb it was hard to believe he was only eleven years of age; Andrew Davies' portrayal of Mr Bumble was also of the highest quality. Congratulations to all who took part, the audience will remember this production for sometime to come.
