A Forest School Experience
This week saw the first Forest School experience taking place within the school's Reception Class. As part of the school's drive to increase learning opportunities for Reception Class children, a six week forest school experience is taking place on Wednesday afternoons. Children will have the opportunity to experience learning outdoors in the school's own woodland area, a perfect setting for this innovation. This experience will complement the opportunities open to older pupils within the school's unique life skills programme which sees them involved in such activities as Orienteering, First Aid, Indoor Climbing, Archery, Aerobic Dance, Squash, Team Challenges and, eventually, Canoeing, Caving, Bivvying and High Ropes on a residential week on the Staffordshire Moorlands.
