School Wins 'Junior Choir of the Year'

Members of the School Choir have sung their way to the top!

The boys and girls impressed the judges at the Buxton Music Festival where they won the ‘Junior School Choir of the Year’ title.

The judges said the pupils gave a ‘spellbinding performance’. The St Peter & St Paul School choir sang four different pieces of music to win the The Spedding Cup.

“We’re really delighted and everyone sang really well” says the school’s Choir Master Andrew Noble “Our object wasn’t to gain a prize, although we are delighted to have done so, but rather it has been a journey along a road to excellence and that’s really what taking part has been about.”
