Elizabeth I Visits St Peter & St Paul School
Elizabeth I visited St Peter & St Paul School recently to present the prizes. She appeared to return from the grave specially for this occasion. Ashen faced and in period costume the children. parents and staff were mesmorised by both her appearance and what she had to say. She stressed the importance of education in her life and how it had made such a difference to what she was able to achieve.
The achievements of the children were celebrated with the Chairman's Prize being awarded to Saskia Peach and William Underwood winning the top academic prize.
The Headmaster stressed the importance of partnership in his remarks and praised the dedication and hard work of all the staff team. He pointed to the fact that there is clear evidence that small teaching groups and the needs of individual pupils being met ensured high standards.
