In the first instance, our class teachers will raise any concerns with our SEND specialist and arrange a discussion with parents.
In-class support is given, where possible by our teachers and or teaching assistants guided by our SEND specialist.
The class teacher will oversee, plan and work with each child with SEND in their class to ensure that appropriate progress is made in every area and our Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator (SENDco) and Headteacher will oversee the progress of any child identified as having SEND.
There may be an additional adult support from other members of staff who may be working with your child either individually or as part of a group. The content of this support will be explained to parents when support begins, as part of a childís bespoke programme of learning and is reviewed and updated during termly learning conversations or parent meetings
All interventions are personalised, based on pupilís individual needs and learning styles. They range from phonic and numeracy programmes, which target specific areas of difficulty, through to highly personalised, 1 to 1 tuition.
Support that requires a trained professional can be arranged but at an additional cost.
