How Good Are We?
We are proud of our outstanding academic record. You don’t need to take our word for it, the latest statistics reinforce our position as one of the region’s best junior schools. In SATS tests our pupils results are significantly above the average for Derbyshire while in a recent OFSTED inspection of our Foundation Stage we were deemed to be outstanding in every area on which judgements were made.
Infant Class Teachers and Junior Subject Specialists deliver our academic curriculum. While we recognise the importance of English, Maths and Science, we go much further teaching Modern Languages, Humanities, Religious Studies, Design & Information Technology, Art, Music, Drama, PE and Games.
At age 11 many of our pupils win Public School Scholarships, which indicates the strength and depth of our academic teaching. An accolade of which we are particularly proud is our reputation for producing well rounded individuals who know how to work and how to take advantage of all the opportunities open to them.
